Session #7: Curse of the Black Pearl date run: 6/20/26

Campaign Effects:
[ The climate has shifted. The skies have darkened, storms seem more powerful, and a foul mist is omnipresent upon the sea every dawn and dusk for a few hours.]
[ Port Royal has been devastated by an earthquake from a volcanic eruption.]
Having gained possesion of the fabled Black Pearl of Atlantis, the crew set sail from Nassau and decide to go treasure hunting along the Yucatan coast. They plot a course that should bring them to thier destination in about 3 days if the weather favors them.
DAY 1: The crews of both the Golden Medusa and the Crack'd Cobbler present articles to the Captains and after a short deliberation everyone signs them.
Just after midday, Santiago spots some debris floating along thier course and the crew decide to check it out. Soon a coffin is brought up on the deck of the Golden Medusa. Prying open the waterlogged casket the crew are shocked when a beachball sized clump of writhing and grasping hands emerges and begins rolling around on deck! With a quick kick Francisco sends the ball of hands careening through the air where it lands on the deck of the Crack'd Cobbler. Bits O'Donnel and some crewmen are able to trap the thing in a barrel, and "Papa" Lutton thinks about how they might be able to use this creature to thier advantage in boarding actions.

The crew decide not to stop over in Havana, as they don't want to draw any undue attention upon themselves.
Day 2: The morning brings a heavy wind and both ships make good speed. About midday a dark cloud rolls in and a gigantic whirlpool opens directly ahead of the ships. The sight of the monster that emerges from it almost drives the crewmen to break, but our Captains are able to steady their morale!
They see they are face to face with the KRAKEN!!!!
The Golden Medusa banks port while th Crack'd Cobbler banks starboard and they engage the Kraken with broadside barrages! Both crews are kept in check and morale is steady as the Kraken makes a beeline towards the Medusa.
Eventually the ships are being slowly dragged back into the swirling whirlpool, cannons are being fired, pages from the Necronomicon are read aloud! Madness ensues! Desiree releases the powers of the Black Pearl and the KRAKEN devours everyone as they descend into the depths of the sea.
